Snapper View's friendly host is Barry Templer, a resident of Coffin Bay for some 25 years.
As a young fella, Barry operated a successful automotive garage in Whyalla, but like so many others, the moment he laid eyes on Coffin Bay, he knew he was ready for a Sea Change.

If you've a taste for the local seafood, but not the wherewithal to catch it yourself, Barry's the man to ask for advice on where to buy - in fact he's been seen at the jetty when the fishing boats come in, on a mission for a hungry guest. Barry's also a dab hand at cleaning fish - if you want to learn from an expert, there's no better tutor - and he's happy to share the odd secret recipe with like-minded individuals.
Though officially retired, Barry can still be seen on the water from time to time, but his first love these days is Snapper View and the enjoyment he gains from welcoming his guests - old friends and new - and ensuring each departs Coffin Bay with a vow to return again as soon as possible.
